what’s up! i’m zee — a film photographer living & working in New York City.

my love affair with photography started the moment i got my hands on my first camera, and well over a decade later, we’re still very much obsessed with each other. over the years, i’ve taught myself to shoot and work with film in all its beautiful varieties, along with developing a basic knowledge of super 8. while i’m comfortable working with both digital and film, i have a very strong preference for film — always have, probably always will.

there’s something about film that feels inherently raw & human. it holds onto a moment differently. and that’s what i’m always chasing in my work: photographs that feel honest, intimate, alive — emotions captured as they actually felt, rather than polished into something they weren’t.
